yup

and it allowed him to get a pass for his terrible coaching job at the olympics. But yeah, its Marbury's and Iverson's fault they didnt get gold.

's blame Wade and Lebron for 2004, despite the fact they had basically a season under their belts. And Larry Brown seemed to hate those two and Melo.

Yea fukk Larry Brown. Dude was a horrible coach for that team.

Dude gave no burn to Bron, Wade, Melo, or Stoudemire. Yet he received no blame for that shyt because he was on that "play the right way" bullshyt that CACS love.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Not only that but he was ego trippin hardcore. I remember him benching either Lebron or Carmelo for celebrating too much after a dunk. Keeping Wade, Lebron, and Carmelo on an extremely short leash even though they were killing it in the time they did get on the court. Yet everybody let him off the hook by saying the team was just too young or not built correctly and ignored his horrible coaching.

Yep. I honestly think Brown got into it with some bookies or some shyt and had to sabotage the games and lose in order to pay his debts. It literally made no sense at all how he coached that team. He seemed to take this sort of indignant satisfaction in it too. Like you mentioned, sitting the young players who played well, etc.

Besides that, I've never seen Tim Duncan as frustrated on the court as he was with FIBA officiating and officials in '04. Dude was on the verge of snapping. :sadcam:

The 96 team was nice. The '00 team was meh. They almost lost to Lithuania in the final.

that was 13 years ago, like im gonna remember minor details like that:mindblown:

they had size. Duncan and Amare were two of the best big men in the NBA that 2003-4 season.

Larry Brown had no idea what he was doing. He had them playing a half court game when the team's strength was in transition.

Larry Brown had a thing against playing young players too, which was pretty stupid.

yeah, that was the other thing

Melo was their best scorer in the build up that tournament, and like others said, wade, Bron and Melo beasted together but he was quick to take them off to "teach lessons."

He did the same thing to Amare too. Amare had a very short leash.

2 of the biggest failures for the USA Men BBall program, since the NBA players were allowed in, came under UNC coaches. Marinate on that for a second.

George Karl is the definition of an underachieving coach so no surprise there
