Look big George:dame::whoa: is one of my favorite fighters of all time and the disrespect he gets on this board is uncalled for. People acting like he the original deontay wilder :camby:. He didn't have the best defensive skills but he did his thing. George knew how to set up them power bombs, was country strong and knew how to use his height and length(again:whoa::dame:)










I'm saying the coli needs to give this man his due

Someone in one of them coliseum threads about floyd or george training wilder said foreman was a bum :picard:
His original run was before my time but he should get respect just off his second career run alone imo
I feel he'd at least be contender level in this era and maybe could beat Wilder or Joshua if he put hands on them

Foreman was great against guys who brought the fight to him. He welcomed pressure. Wilder is at his weakest being pressured. So I definitely wouldn't call him the "original Deontay Wilder". Both have big power but very different styles and approaches. Foreman liked exchanges and he was a clubbing type of puncher who just beats you up with whatever punch he throws. Wilder is focused on his right hand almost exclusively and tries to find the perfect time to land that one punch and usually avoids exchanges.

...and he was just a higher class fighter than Wilder in general

Every fighter has flaws, some just have a lot more than others.
