Let's settle this once and for all: SoCal or NorCal?

Which is better: Southern California or Northern California

last time i been to norcal(Oakland/SF) i was like a kid

but if remember right it gave me east coast vibes as it was very dense.

as a AZ nikka i prolly might go for SoCal due to the similarity of structure.

The 916
Nor cal girls generally have more chill personalities. Not as materalistic and obsessed with superficial shyt.

Norcal girl personalities in Socal girl bodies :wow:

All these out of shape central American women we got now are tipping the scales :hhh:
You haven’t met any San Jose or Sacramento bytches :mjlol:
Maybe you talking about bytches from Shasta or Humboldt county.

Where It’s Not Safe
Norcal people esp Bay area > Socal people

Socal weather > Norcal weather

Socal women > Norcal women

Socal cost of living > Norcal cost of living

Socal weed = Norcal weed idk but I heard dispensary weed is better up north but so cal street weed is better.

Traffic sucked in both.

I’ll take So cal.

The reality is any place is only as good as what you are doing there

if you are in the entertainment business, LA
if you are a software engineer, NorCal

California is overrated in general, if you're not in the entertainment business and just doing normal shyt you might as well be in Nevada or AZ and live cheaper that we can actually stack

If you not working for some big tech company why else would say in norcal, ain't shyt up there, Oakland doesn't even a qualify as a city to me, its too small, I see why they call it the town, it ain't shyt in san francisco except google, don't see how any working class person would stay in the bay

California is a place where you visit, get to go to the beach, etc if you live there it's because you are a single and you are trying to be an entertainer or some tech shyt, otherwise you are just wasting your time you can't stack there, its a place for rich people, you suppose to have money when you come there, people who move there broke hope to make it big end up on skidrow

plus its only a matter time before an Earthquake kills everyone there

Speaking as a native, you gotta be a hustler in both if you don't want to be miserable. It's very easy to end up miserable in either part of the state tbr, 90% of affordable areas in CA are trash and the other 10% largely depends on what your industry is. If you're in farming/agriculture/weed, you might love upstate... for someone like me, upstate offers literally nothing.

On the flipside, the networking opportunities to attract potential investors in the Bay and LA are unparalleled and are only matched/exceeded by New York. If you offer a service that high-earner clientele wants to use, literally all your customers live here. If you're good at offering that service, a lot of investors will want a piece of it. Take that for what you will

As far as which place is more entertaining to live in, definitely LA at this point. There was a time when the Bay had more going on in terms of nightclubs & lounges, live music, underground parties, etc that catered to local tastes but that shyt been changed. Oakland has more going on than San Francisco for local tastes at this point and it isn't that big of a place to begin with so it simply doesn't compare to the offerings LA got.

That being said, I'm running my business in Oakland rn off the strength of the connections I've made in my trade so I can't really complain, life is good at the moment :ehh: I will say that the type of folks I run into on this side of the state are more about that startup life than in SoCal, a lot of SoCal folks care more about showboating and looking like they're a part of something that's already big instead of making their own shyt. Not all obviously but stunting is more part of their culture in general.

Eastside of that Motor
:what: San Jose is 350 miles, 6 hour drive from LAX airport :skip: its also the largest city in the bay area (north bay) :skip:

this would be like asking if Pittsburgh is part of New York City :skip: thats how far San Jose is from LA
Pittsburgh isn’t even in NY state that’s the dumbest analogy I’ve ever heard :what: . And I don’t live nor visit California often that’s why I asked the question
