I remember thinking to myself that Hogan would mend up and return and beat Yokozuna. They had that show where wrestlers and football plays tried to slam Yoko but nobody could do it. And then a helicopter arrived, and I (along with the crowd there) was thinking here comes Hogan. And who steps out of the helicopter?

thats Vince and his constantly trying to bury Hogan's existence..he was hellbent on killing Hogan off in any way possible...he thought they could outdo Hogan/Andre but Lex Luger is and always was a scrub (especially in WWE).. They built Yoko up like an unstoppable monster. He ran through the Rumble. Ran through Hogan. Hacksaw Jim Duggan? Destroyed. Luger couldn't get the job done at Summerslam. Crush? Banzai! Tatanka? Banzai again! Macho? Nope. Not even The Undertaker could beat Yoko. That was some great booking.
