Probably one of the worst songs I've ever had the displeasure of hearing.
The first time I listened to Hip Hop Is Dead (Nas' worst album by far, IMO), I got about 25 seconds into it before I couldn't handle it anymore.
That stupid ass voice, man.
Why'd he do that?

Weird record but when someone broke down the meanings and the metaphors in it, I thought it was okay. Pity he used the voice thing, the beat isnt great but I guess it fit the storytelling vibe. If he didnt use the voice it would have been.

Funny thing to me is that it's the voice that actually makes the song, if Nas would have just spit those lyrics normal then song would lose alot of what I like about it.

I don't know man. All respect to your opinion, but it's clear what you don't like across the board. I like World is an Addiction and LOVED Blunt Ashes. Nas has a flair for the dramatic, in kind of a cheesy, operatic, noir OD way. I'm not mad at it though, it comes together at the end - usually.
