He was beat up by black women in Detroit? Wow.

Like most Eminem threads this exposes a lot of people's mentality and true colors.

He was beat up and experienced prejudice for being white, and perhaps some of that built up frustration ended up venting out on that song. The black girl incident may have just been the straw that broke the camel's back.

I don't see how you can just look at it like "oh he got rejected by a black girl, and all of the other negative things he experienced held 0 weight in him making that kind of song." People's life experience doesn't exist in a vacuum.

Perhaps you are making excuses for a white male using a black artform to make racist remarks towards black women no matter what the reason is.

Again, you are sorta exposing yourself here. Just because some black kid beat him up in school and a black girl dumped him does not mean 'all blacks only want your money' What one or two black people do does not reflect on every black person everywhere, that is what you are missing out on and why it is in fact racist.

There is a big difference between saying 'fukk Linda and D'Angelo Bailey' and saying

"Black girls and white girls just don't mix
Because Black girls are dumb and white girls are good chicks"

I never said he was justified in doing what he did. It goes without saying that what he did was wrong.

I was just pointing out that there are certain factors that may have pushed him to doing something like that. That original line I quoted from you made it sound like you were saying Eminem never experienced any kind of racism himself.
"having a girl break up with you is the same as being judged for your skin color in Los Angeles."

You really are not pointing out anything because you just came up with this scenario. You sound like you are trying to justify why he did it and making up some stretch armstrong post about how it's possible he wrote the song because a black guy beat him up in middle school when there's 50 bars of him talking strictly about 'black chicks'

Eminem himself said the song was prompted by a girl dumping him. So don't take it personal if I don't want to entertain the idea you made up. The lyrics are specifically about black girls and he himself said it was. Not because he was picked on for being a rapper AFTER the song came out by the way. This is early Eminem before he was in rap battles and all that.

Eminem was still rapping and doing rap battles (small time) when he put that song out.....obviously.

And as I already pointed out, life doesn't exist in a vacuum. To think that one single event was the only contributing factor to making a racist song is naive. You really think that a one time thing of getting dumped by a girl is enough to talk shyt about black people in general? You really think him getting beat up by black kids or getting laughed at for rapping or liking hip hop had nothing to do with him talking negatively about black people? Getting dumped by a black girl was a compounding event, not an isolated one, in regards to him feeling ousted by another race.

Eminem himself points out (on Yellow Brick Road) that he singled out an entire race with that song.

Sorry breh, I'll go by what the guy who made the song said. Not by your justification on why he came up with these lyrics because you want to link Ice Cube's experience in life with Eminem's to try to make some kind of pass for this song.

Sorry breh, I'll go by what the guy who made the song said. Not by your justification on why he came up with these lyrics because you want to link Ice Cube's experience in life with Eminem's to try to make some kind of pass for this song.

He does have some lines in there that do say "blacks" and "black guys" rather than just "black girls." But I guess you're just ignoring those.
Blacks and whites they sometimes mix
blacks only want your money
This is obviously talking about a girl cheating. But this could be interpreted as being racist towards black dudes too.
‘Cause all that cash is making your ass drag
From the boyfriend ya ganked and that's pretty bad
I mean that's pretty sad when ya dating a black guy
And then you turn around and fukk another big, black guy

Not to mention why would he give some complicated in depth explanation about how he had some resentment towards another race due to his childhood experiences. That whole apology was a PR campaign and was made to be a short and simple as possible. Don't know why you would take what Em says 100% at face value there.

EDIT: and actually on Yellow Brick Road, he does add to the suggestion that his other experiences contributed to him making that racist song.

You will well-inform me, I am well aware that I don't belong here
You've made that perfectly clear
I get my ass kicked damn near everywhere
From Bel-Aire shopping center just for stopping in there
From the black side all the way to the white side
Now with this being a new trend
We don't fit in crackas is out with Cactus albums
Blackness is in, African symbols and medallions
Represents black power and we ain't know what it meant
Me and my man Howard and Butta would go to the mall with 'em
All over our necks like we're showin 'em off not knowin at all
We was being laughed at, "you ain't even half black!
You ain't supposed to have that homie let me grab that"
And that Flavor Flav clock we goin' have to snatch that
All I remember is meeting back at Manix's basement
Saying how we hate this, how racist but dope the X Clan tape is
Which reminds me back in 89 me and Kim broke up for the first time
She was try'na two-time me, and there was this black girl
At our school who thought I was cool
Cause I rapped, so she was kinda eyeing me
And - oh the irony - guess what her name was?
Ain't even goin' say it, plus
The same color hair as hers was and blue contacts and a pair of jugs
The bombest god damn girl in our whole school, if I could pull it
Not only would I become more popular
But I would be able to piss Kim off at the same time
But it backfired, I was supposed to dump her
But she dumped me for this black guy
And that's the last I ever seen or heard or spoke
To the "Oh foolish pride" girl
But I've heard people say they heard the tape and it ain't that bad
But it was I singled out a whole race and for that apologize
I was wrong cause no matter what color a girl is, she's still a ho
