Just because _____ are illegal doesn't stop people from getting them.

Okay how about "sacks of meth".

"Snuff films"

"Slaves"

"Bald Eagles"

Yes people can get black market guns, but they start off usually as legal guns. They produce them in a factory. Imagine if we were talking about something like CP where they bury you for it no ifs and or buts. nikkas are scared to death to even ACCIDENTALLY catch a split second glimpse. Wed never worry about "underlying causes", we -have as society - just flat out say "BANNED" and we go crazy on those who disobey.

Does the fact that people can make meth mean that we should not worry about making it against the law? Who among you thinks it should be legal like booze?

Yes people can get and make illegal guns. That doesn't mean we shouldn't take ANY steps to curb illegal guns. If all criminals had to make their own guns they would likely switch to knives. People can make booze but what's the ratio of legal to illegal booze?

Allow everyone to own and conceal a gun and crime will plummet, as long as theres jobs.

Having no guns prepares you for a world where you just have to kick the dirt when times get dramatically difficult.

I thought we just established this to not be the case.

Black kids killing each other won't stop just because one of their neighbors has a gun too.

And you are completely disregarding the potential for more accidental (and non accidental) deaths that would come from there being guns everywhere.

I think guns have a place in society but they are nowhere near the instant cure all you keep insisting them to be.

The only real cure for violence is period of heavy handed executions while providing the essentials for human happiness/survival, the elimination of poverty and or embracing the teachings of Christ.

So lets compare something legal with something illegal. We don't ban guns because we understand that its a tool and not the cause of the issue of violence.

We don't ban guns because we don't feel it fair and we feel it's a violation of American rights to ban them for law abiding citizens when they can still be acquired illegally.

What's the point in giving a boost to the profits of overseas gun-makers and increasing the pockets of smugglers?

You have to accept what you are. And America is a gun loving nation. We love all sorts of sh1t that isn't great for us, at least this is one things that doesn't actually cause any issues without physiological and domestic motivations behind it.

Let's replace the word "guns" and see how the "loner, antisocial, emo, white boy" control argument reads

it's a response to those that say "criminals would be able to get guns on the black market anyway"

do you think some dweeb like Lanza would have done all that if his mother didn't own those weapons? he would get robbed in the 'black market'
