He kept scar around. Why wouldn't he keep his own son?

You do know how lion prides work right?

Lions are unusually social compared to other cats. A pride of lions consists of related females and offspring and a small number of adult males.

Grown Lions usually run off the male lions once they come of age. This also stops inbreeding. Male siblings will lead a pride together to protect the pride from hyenas and other nomad lions looking to take over.

:aicmon: Mufasa was a new age lion father. He had that boy Simba primed and groomed for the throne, showed him everything he was gonna rule, gave him detailed instructions on how to handle shyt.

Most lions won't even give their cubs a decent cut of their antelope kills :heh: Mufasa was progressive.

dude had to leave the comforts of home to become a man
big ups to timon and pumba for taking care of the boy!!!
:wow:

real shyt tho the lion king is probably the single greatest kids movie for a boy, the messages behind that about accepting the past but striving for a better future, never forgetting where u come from, family, self improvement and becoming a man.... the only disney flick that makes me tear up, I still cant watch any scene with mufasa/simba interacting whether its him schooling him as a youngin to the cloud ghost dropping jewels of life on him
