That whole family was a problem

Id rather keep his origin a mystery and bring in a "god killed"... Grab gary olman

Save that love shyt fora sequel
If the whole family is a problem, that means Jason Bateman's character isn't in the movie. So Hancock will literally be sipping Henny and causing a ton of collateral damage the whole movie until a "god killed" shows up with absolutely no build up or reference for the viewer to care about who this person is. How can you cite how you feel the ending of the movie is cliche when you're asking for the movie to follow the most cliche'd plot out there: superhero fights bad guy? Hancock set up the possibility for a trilogy, imo. The first movie lays the foundation for the origins of the character, the second movie we get the revelation that there are other gods still alive who can play the antagonist, the third movie Will and Charlize have outlived her family and they finally live a normal life together and die.

The backstory of their relationship literally works perfectly with

But to answer your question, Signs has the worst twist. Advanced aliens, whose only weakness is water, decide to land on a planet that is covered in 70% of the shyt:mjlit:
That pissed me the fukk off about signs while people around me said it was good. So ok you invade earth you land on the parts without water. They can't make a suit to protect themselves? So they need to take over the planet naked? You mastered interstellar travel but when it rained they were assed out.

The explanation for their romance inherently makes the romance itself not tacked on. They've been separating and finding their way back to each other for centuries. Whenever I hear people complain about this movie, I wonder how they would have preferred it to play out. Hancock just keeps being a drunk, irresponsible black man who gets saved by his white PR buddy? What was the end game for y'all?:skip:Love being a superhero's weakness is as un-cliche as it gets if you ask me:hubie:

He should have found redemption without any help. He should have learned what it takes to be a hero while also learning that doing the right thing will get you hated and as uncle Ben said with great power comes great responsibility.

Congratulations, you are the first person I know to like the end of that movie.

Of course--because I didn't spend the time to rewrite the whole movie--it wouldn't be that simple.

Bateman's character was useful, of course, but, the movie goes off the rails after the reveal.

If you wanted to make a Hancock Un-Appreciation thread then you should have. I gave you a movie I felt had a worst twist, and argued against your complaints about the movie. There's literally at least one other person in this very thread that didnt mind the movie as well. If you didnt want to hear a dissenting opinion, why take the time to make a thread on a public forum?:dwillhuh:

I was told, earlier in this thread, that the ending of the movie was cliche. You're suggesting that the movie should have gone the most cliche super hero route possible. I'm confused, brehs:mindblown:
What would be the impetus for Hancock's redemption in your scenario? Dude seemed perfectly content taking Remy to the head and lounging when he wasn't out clumsily fighting crime. I'm not asking nikkas to rewrite movies, as was suggested, I'm asking people to give me simple resolutions to the shyt they complain about.
