But I cannot emphasize this enough: African-American women are not the most educated demographic. Not by any stretch of the imagination.
That whole thing started when a bunch of people who don't understand statistics misread a report.
Indian-Americans are the most highly educated group.

And yes, a lot of AA (men and women) get "degrees" in pointless fields, just to have "PhD" or "Dr." in front of their name.

Have you said this to them in person tho ? I tried to explain this to my ex GF one morning and she almost burnt me with her iron she got so heated I wasn't even trying hate on her, we saw this car commercial with a sista in it and she was like "Black women are the most educated group, that's why all these advertisers starting to target us more"

And I caught a lot of heat for it. The thing was, none of them had read the actual report, or had seen any of the real data. They got it third hand from social media posts.

Being that the women I was talking to were all "educated" women (all JD candidates, MD, or MS), most of them were surrounded by other educated AAs all day and had no trouble whatsoever believing the hype.

The explanation took FOREVER, and I don't think most of them bought it

Yep my ex went to Howard Law. DC has a lot of educated Black women so it's believable if you stay in that bubble.
