Other than being in that video with him, did Rakim actually co-sign Juelz? And if he did, what the fukk was he thinking?
rakim and pete rock both gave props to the diplomats. i remember it pissing alot of people off. i was bumping diplomatic immunity just as much as i was the children of the corn mixtape(they both came out around the same time) i understand why legends were giving them props...they were the ones that made the last great street music. they flooded the market with so many great releases it was ridiculous.
then somewhere along the line the heatmakerz disappeared and it was never the same again.

i vividly remember chit started going downhill not long after the word started going around that wayne got juelz hooked on syrup. then all that other stuff started happening and it was a wrap.

before all that, juelz was one of the hardest working rappers in showbiz. calling him lazy is crazy.

and hes already released 2 career worth of work.

like dude said, juelz got money and rap aint worth the hassle for somebody like him at this point. and he already made his mark.

fukk that has to do with anything, at that time Juelz was on that Lil Wayne pedestal far bigger and beyond Cam's local ass, Cam understood what he was doing Cam going at Jay was a way to keep Juelz under him, funny Cam goes MIA when Jimmy is getting that fame also shortly thereafter also. Cam seemed more interested in being the star of the show.......

Cam ruined millions for Juelz, I woulndt fukk with son at all, Cam played God with his career, he had clear wide open avenue to feed his childrens children........

juelz dealt with l.a. reid.

juelz & jones were never as big as camron. and if cam felt some sort of way about them being stars, then he wouldn't have pushed them anywhere near as much as he did. he would've treated them like jay treated state property.

exactly.

dipset was the last crew that really epitomized hip-hop from top-to-bottom.

even people in their 50s love them some dipset, even the stuff they were doing long after the heatmakerz.

it should be as no shock that a lot of legends give props to dipset. theres a long list of em.

This dude was on the verge of being able to stake a claim as king of NY. I never liked him like that, but popularity wise he was buzzing big time. nikkas would constantly argue over who was better, Wayne or Juelz. He did southern style shyt without it sounding forced, like a lot of other NY cats.

Let's also not forget this was around the time when nikkas were still going gold regularly.. He could have made good money...
