yeah that frietas fight was a travesty. he had few moments in his older days like giving katsidis that work. Dude had skills to me, was nice with the counter attack/cerebral in the ring.breh, calderon put on beautiful boxing performances. he beat damn near everyone ass at that division throughout that decade, it wasn't until he fought that big ass giant segura at the end of his career which ended his era.

he was too underrated as a lefty and i don't think people realize how good he was in his prime. i had a argument with a friend about how he "could" have been undefeated going into the fight with marquez. i thought he got robbed against, popo, castillo, and the 2nd fight with chico. his style really relied off his speed and footwork. once he got older and slowed down, shyt hit the fan for him.
even though dawson had only 3 fights under floyd sr, i thought he looked his best with him. the he had speed, defense, jab, could throw combinations, had nice right hook. chad gets overlooked.
So many different phases to Chad, I agree he was underrated at his best. I wish he would have let his hands go more, maybe that was a case of having too many trainers/trapped between styles. I dont know
