Just to be clear, by "rich people and industry insiders" you mean voters, right? Because ultimately, it was individuals voting who picked Biden over Bernie, this wasn't a smoke-filled room Party establishment appointment at a convention shyt, it was people voting for their preferred candidate.
Refused? That's bullshid. They tried but they had a bad strategy or an incompetent one actually.
Which is inexcusable. They had the most money the whole cycle.
Didn't do a better job? Of course. He didn't have experienced black political operatives who have a track record of winning and didn't empower his local staff in places like South Carolina to make executive decisions away from Faiz Shakir and senior staff micromanaging things.
They also underestimated Biden, big time. And for many months aside from Liz Warren's surge at the end of the summer/early fall, this was a 2-man race with Biden having a 10-15 point lead nationally.
The fact that Sanders couldn't make up ground until December was a warning shot.
And the campaign did not invest in a high quality communications plan in the southern states. Period.
What did Biden do to appeal to black folk besides hide behind two corrupt house nikkas?
