he was really feeling himself at that time. having at minimum one person in his camp who wasnt a yes man/fan boy would have served him well over the past 5 years

He obviously wasn't about that "at all cost" life, despite being proven correct during this pandemic about how government is suppose to deal with irresponsible private businesses and prioritize the well being of citizens...he just wanted the spotlight, while remaining friends with the very people that's upholding the structure he claim to be against
