I normally don't care much for characters being Flanderized, but they made it work with Eric.

Although there might be one explanation for his mental degradation...yall remember the episode when Eric was studying for the SAT's and some people put some machine on his head to study his brain waves and he suddenly did all kinds of absent minded stuff. Since that episode he got worse and worse...:patrice:

Remember that episode where they got into a fight and they played out a sequence where they continued on in life without being friends? He lived in the woods and changed his name to Dances with Squirrels or something like that :dahell:

Don't forget he married a moose. :dead:

The entire show is a cluster cuss when it comes to continuity. Corey grows up to be a neurotic oddball when he was more of a well adjusted slacker as a kid. Shawn grew up very consistently with who he was when the show first started so did Topanga but Eric and Corey got the short end of the stick on that end. I love the show but the way they did Eric and Corey was wrong. Especially in episodes where they both act like they weren't close when they were younger but we have freaking evidence of them being close when they were younger :mindblown:

he was a young handsome dude who always pulled prime puss

then all of a sudden he's a weirdo that no woman will touch?

Shawn goin from DGAF kid to tortured poet steez is believable tho.

This fukked me up to. Along with them tryna front like Cory and Topanga been meant for each other since kindergarden when we SEEN them only really attracted to each other in middle/high school

That episode where he saved Corey from getting killed by Harley :banderas: He was like the ideal cool older brother, popular in school and pulling all the baddest hoes, he also seemed like a normal student who just had problems applying himself in school...then by the end of the high school years he had become a complete idiot.

And they kept retconning that shyt. It went from loving her since 6th grade to loving her since 1st grade to loving her since the sandbox. Shawn went from living in a semi well adjusted family to living in a trailer park with a half brother they swept under the rug when Jack showed up

Let's not even discuss how the whole cast just skipped two grades in high school. :mjpls:

:ohhh: I only remember watching the later seasons during its original run on ABC. So whenever folks discuss things from the earlier seasons, it's always new to me.

It was always been weird to me when watching reruns on the Disney or ABC Family Channel seeing them in middle school in the earlier seasons, when in fact when the show ended they were college upperclassmen. A time jump during the series makes sense.

I'm one of those people who feel like Boy Meets World is the best sitcom ever..its better than a lot of the classic shows that get talked about around here, shyt aged like fine wine. Its still as good now as it was back then.
