...What does fielding a snap have to do with QB play?
You Dont play to win the game?
...What does fielding a snap have to do with QB play?
Vick hasn't won a playoff game in almost 10 years. Hearing folk cling to those 2 wins is . Especially when you consider he didn't play that well in the playoffs. .
FINALLY SOMEONE SAYS IT. He always gets credited with that win in Green Bay down here but people forget that the Special Teams forced two turnovers which led to 14 points. One of them was a blocked punch which was recovered for a TD.
and had his usual fun by throwing 2 picks and fumbling.
I can't pull up the stats but I remember him only having like 130 yards passing with his usualy 50 or so rushing yards.
The other win came when we slaughtered an 8-8 Rams team at home.
Just read this on Rotoworld
A source with knowledge of the situation tells Profootballtalk.com that Eagles coach Andy Reid has been considering benching Michael Vick since the halfway point of last season.
The Eagles started last season 3-6, and Reid was reportedly "hoping" Vince Young would play well enough to supplant Vick as the starter. Young didn't come close to meeting Reid's expectations, of course, so he was forced to turn back to Vick. Per PFT's Mike Florio, it's becoming a "foregone conclusion" that Vick won't be back with Philadelphia in 2013 at his $15.5 million salary. It's expected that the Eagles will release Vick "right after the Super Bowl."
But then again I'm dealing with a who pretended to be dead and posted as his "wife"
I can't think of a QB who gets shytted on more than Romo (rightfully or wrongly so). He's Mexican, btw.
The difference here is.. Vick's team just lost 30 to 17.. Romo on the other hand, despite throwing 4 interceptions in the first half, and being down 23-0, lead his team back and even had the lead and a chance to win with the game coming down to the very last play.
Romo will always make mistakes and have these kinds of games, but he will also give you the best chance to win. There's no way you can tell me that Kyle Orton is a better option than Tony Romo.
And to those who say Romo should be out in Dallas.. how? What options do they have that's better? And if you say "Well they gotta draft someone".. only on rare occasions does taking a quarterback high work out. I'll take Romo over Ponder, Locker, Tannehill, Brady frickin' Quinn.. etc.
BTW.. Vick being possibly benched is a big story because, y'know there's actually rumors that Reid is contemplating doing it. Jerry aint gonna make that decision.
Plus, Romo is on the hot seat with the media.. Dallas Cowboys need to plan exit strategy from Tony Romo - ESPN Dallas
I don't know if you watched the game but...Mike Vick didn't score 30 points for the other team. Our defense is ass residue...they gave up 30 pts. Mike Vick deserves credit for us even being in the game for the few amount of plays he was able to run that day.
