LETS BE REAL, LEBRON IS PUTTING UP THESE NUMBERS BECAUSE OF HIS USAGE RATE..

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I dont get it... @Malta are you saying Kobe at age 30 wouldnt beast against the warriors with a 44% usage rate? He was mvp at 30...

I'm saying that yall always throw these weird stipulations out about Kobe, then when people check they always come back looking funny in the light.

Yall wanna hate on one player so badly you're putting down an excellent defense, instead of focusing on LeBron, maybe just accept that the Warriors may just be good on defense :merchant:

Kobe has always struggled against Iggy. I'm not sure he;d fare better. But one things for sure, he sure as hell would be heralded as a hero for shooting 35 shots a game. He shots 21 per game in the regular season and everyone says it's too many.

Only 2 times Kobe put up 29 or more shots on Iggy

He dropped 44 & 48 in those games :wow:

Lebron is absolutely incredible and as a die hard kobe stan I will say he is at least on Kobes level. I recognized Lebrons greatness game 6 of the celtics series in 2012 and these Finals made me an official fan. 11 years of hate reversed. One of the great performances ever.

..IN REALITY, THE WAY HE'S BEEN PLAYING HAS BEEN SUB-PAR. SHOOTING 35% FROM THE FIELD THROUGH 5 GAMES IS ACTUALLY TERRIBLE WHEN U THINK ABOUT IT. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR TEAM NEEDS YOU MORE THAN EVER. AND ESPECIALLY WHEN THE OPPOSING TEAM IS USING SINGLE COVERAGE ON YOU THE ENTIRE TIME. I HAVE NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT KOBE OR JORDAN WOULD BE LIGHTING THIS KINDA DEFENSE UP FOR 60+ NIGHTLY. THE ISSUE WITH LEBRON IS THAT HE HAS NO HANDLES AND NO RELIABLE JUMPER, MAKING IT EASY FOR DEFENSES TO ZONE IN ON HIM WITOUT HAVIN TO SAG OFF THEIR OWN MAN TOO MUCH. I'M JUST TIRED OF HEARING ALL THESE BSPN NARRATIVES OF HOW GREAT HE'S PLAYING, WHEN IN REALITY, THEY WOULDA WON THE SERIES ALREADY HAD LEBRON NOT CHOKED AWAY GAME 1. FACT OF THE MATTER IS, THE INFLATED NUMBERS ARE 100% DUE TO USAGE RATE AS OPPOSED TO GREATNESS, AND ANY IDIOT WHO'S ACTUALLY WATCHING THE GAMES SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE THAT.
As a Kobestan, you should try to avoid criticizing things like high usage rate, low shooting percentages, etc. Kobe has made a living on that shyt and when he does it, he has elite front lines he's ignoring while he is putting up his own shots. If LeBron had a Shaq, Gasol, or even a Lamar Odom, he wouldn't be doing this.

I really dont see '12 OKC v. '15 Warriors being the crux of either argument here

Kobe stans just deflecting and trying to make this about something else

Bron is having a legendary Finals, period
2012 is a bad example to use for anyone on Kobe's side. He got destroyed in that series and padded his stats in a blowout loss. Joey Crawford had to put in work in game 3 to prevent a sweep.

Warriors are number 1 in the league defensively, Thunder were 11th.

great team defense doesn't mean great defense against the star player. warriors are great defensively cause they don't double and they've got 4 guys on the court that are 6'7" - 6'8" at all times swtiching everything. this means great team defense cause the others can't get off but stars usually have their way. hence the fact a 36 year old post-achilles kobe lit them up both times they played this year.

kobe averaged 36 PPG on 43.5 FG% in the 2 games he played this season against Golden State.

about what lebron is averaging this series on better efficiency. :troll:

watch as a 36 year old kobe scores a SEASON HIGH 44 points on 34 shots against the warriors in 3 quarters :wow:

earlier that month he dropped 28 points on the warriors

Andre iguodala would hold a 30 year old Kobe to 39% shooting as well. I'm a Laker fan, I like Kobe, but some of his finals stats are pitiful.

kobe was double/triple teamed. if you wanna know what kobe woulda done to this golden state defense. just look what he did to them this season at 36 years old off an achilles. he scored a season high 44 points against them in 3 quarters. he drops 60 if he played the 4th.

prime kobe averages 50ppg against this warriors team if he got as many touches as bron and faced the same single coverage from iggy.

know why he only played 3 quarters and got what he wanted? because they were down by fukking double digits for like 42 of the 48 minutes

http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201411160LAL.html

look at that fukking rout. LOL @ analyzing anything from that meaningless ass beatdown. benchwarmers came in and had to outscore the warriors by 15 in the 4th to get it to 21

Who cares what they did during the season. Warriors would beat the 2012 Thunder in a 7 game series ? Is that what you're telling me? Look at the Warriors in the 2015 playoffs.
Beat the bum ass Pelicans. Beat the Grizzlies who had a one eyed Conley for an entire series. Tony Allen missed a game. Beat the fukking Rockets. The Rockets. :laff:

Now they're facing the Cavs without Kyrie and Love. What part of that is impressive to you? Not only are they facing the Kyrie and Love-less Cavs, they're struggling against them. It took Curry 5 games to look like an MVP against some undrafted Ausssie.

Also as far as usage rate, Kobe understands that you can't beat a team by yourself. He would never have a 41% usage rate because he knows better. He knows you need to involve your teammates. Look at what he did for Ariza, Shannon Brown, Bynum, Odom, Vujacic. Which teammates did Bron uplift and make better? Only time they touch the ball is when they're rebounding his bricks(TT) or bailing him out(JR and Iman with 2 seconds left on the clock)

But lets pretend that Kobe, a top 2 scorer of all time, wouldn't be able to muster up a 41% usage rate. Keep living in LALA land.

2004 finals say hello:youngsabo:
