Camp Lo is far from fukking mumble rappers nowadays. Dudes were dropping some gems but it was in the context of a 70s blaxploitation flick. Most of the shyt they were saying is easy to decode if you use your imagination to the wordplay.

If anything Das EFX was somewhat the equivalent of mumble rap and even then, it was dope compared to a brain dead savage so fukked up on lean that they don't know if the microphone is moving or the booth is providing adlibs.

i knew what they were saying but it didnt necessarily make sense. i dont think this was seen as any sort of knock against them but part of their charm. they also had great flows, voices, and visuals. all on an arguable classic debut album w/ stellar production. camp lo mean way more to me than some other ny artists seemingly held in higher regard like say, raekwon.
