Let's Be Real. American Cities Going To Be Looking Like Afghanistan and Somalia

I really fear for the unity of this country in the future... You've got a few places booming on the east and west coast.... and then you've got this shytholes (detroit, baltimore, Oakland, etc.) collapsin'... This goes to show you how inequality is growin' in the country...

I'm not sayin' times were better before, cause I dont know how true that is... But opportunities are shrinkin' or relocatin' to a rather few places....

I sincerely feel our government lacked the vision to protect America in the future decades ago... Letting the national economy globalize itself this fast and this big was always gonna affect the average citizen...

The rich are not at fault... We all work around the loopholes to gain the most benefits...

We just lacked vision and planning,,,

Yeah one of the guys in this thread compared this to the 80s and 90s which I don't know how he was able to come up with that. We have prices of everything going through the roof from gas, food etc.... but the money to sustain this way of life is dwindling. You have Globalization which destroys the Middle class and is doing the work on America. You have multiple Wars and BS crime laws targeting these Cities. Closing of schools and municpal services. Terrible.

With the news of Detroit going bankrupt and plenty of American Cities may be following suit we may be in a day of reckoningfor these cities and citizens. Small police forces, no city services and criminals running around with AKs, Shotguns etc... expect many cities to be looking like a warzone in the next couple of decades.
Expect private own police forces to protect rich citizens surrounded by gated communites.

There are already various other municipalities throughout the country that have declared bankruptcy. Basically, what happens is when it comes to police services, they rely on the state police to take over the jurisdiction of the previous police department. Depends. For example, existing small towns with no police departments have 911 operators contact state police to respond.
