Lets be honest, Jason Mamoa is pretty much the Rock with Aspergers.

:pachaha:

I have no idea how Aquaman is going to work out box office wise. Feels like it could go either way.

It's not channeling a cultural movement with a specific demographic (ala WW, BP, Coco, etc), the main character is known but not particularly popular, and Jason Momoa is known but moreso as female eyecandy than capable actor.

On the other hand, the visuals for an Aquaman movie would be crazy. And it's still a comic book movie; we've seen with Ryan Reynolds career that nobody gave or still gives any crap about him, except when he plays Deadpool.

Thread title and first reply are comedy! :mjlol: Great work.

A movie starring Jason Momoa and Amber Heard is definitely one of the worst duo headliners in recent memory. But at least the rest of the cast is talented. :manny:

Amber’s acting in JL was so bad. Jason outacted her.

Eh, idk. He's not the strongest actor but he's adequate when he's given roles that play to his strengths. He was fine on GoT and he's pretty good on Frontier. Notice in both those shows he was/is playing something like the "tamed savage from another era" character.
