Lets be honest if the NBA had the same issues as the NFL it would no longer exist

Not sure what you're saying here. The NBA doesn't promote its black players?

The NFL has not shied away from promoting players like RG3, Russ, Kaep, etc as the "future" of the league. Let's also not forget that Ray Lewis damn near became a saint and NFL poster boy after his crime.
I'm saying that the institution will be protected by mainstream America because everyone in positions of power and leadership look like them...

Its not just the players this applies to coaching aswell..For a league thats 80% Black compare their minority hiring practices compared to the NBA...

Nobody cared that Robert Parrish was a weed head because Larry Bird was the face...If Iverson becomes the best player on that Celtics squad thats when things like that become problematic....Now it's a "drug culture"...

The NFL is the most popular due to the gambling aspects of it

I hear this a lot... And I'm not a gambler.. But it seems that if I were the opportunity to win 82 times a year would be much more alluring than the chance to win 16....

:manny:

What other aspects are there for gambling that the NBA (or two roaches racing up a wall) don't have?

Nah its about popularity also the nfl is just so much bigger

If all it takes is white faces to be popular the nhl would matter

Americans just don't fukk with Hockey like that. Just like Soccer. Plenty of white faces there too. Those aren't "American" sports. NHL would no longer exist if it was 70% black though, especially after 2 work stoppages within a decade.

Football is a more popular sport in this country than basketball no doubt but the gap would certainly be smaller if the top NFL QB's all looked like RGII and Cam and the top basketball players all looked like K. Love. We can't just ignore the racial dynamics here. Of course other factors are present as well but race is certainly at play.

Just think about at all the shyt we've seen happen with the NFL...the Bounty scandal, numerous assualts and wrongful deaths, and now this Dolphins scandal and you have never, ever, ever heard the NFL referred to as a "Thug league". Conversely the NBA was "thug league" because nikkas had tatts and cornrows. :usure:

hockey isn't on the level of football or basketball.

also, most of those white faces in hockey are foreign.

those qbs aren't really black-black.

kaep & russ are mixed. extra-mixed actually, seeing that kaep has an extremely white last name and russ having that white girlfriend and tiger woods look.

and we already know about RG3.

:ohhh:

I see.. they're not really "black-black", so that's why the big bad media embraces them. Is Ray Lewis "black-black"?

Nobody cared about Robert Parrish being a weed head because nobody cared about Robert Parrish. You're seriously gonna compare reactions between a role player like Robert Parrish to an outspoken high-profile MVP caliber type player like AI?

No, they're fine examples. They just don't fit your narrative. When they get praise, it's because they're not "black-black", but when someone says something negative, it's because they're black. You want it both ways.

theyre safe.

your point would've been stronger if you mentioned someone like cam newton or mike vick but you cant really use them as examples.

and regardless, the overall point is that if the league was dominated by black quarterbacks- safe or not, the league would take a hit in popularity.

You don't know that at all. The NBA enjoys global popularity that has only been increasing over the last 3 decades.
