People would be calling for the leagues head if negative things continually happen in the league like the nfl where they cant go a week without an incident

NFL players are relatively anonymous too. i could walk past Richie Incognito right now still not know who he is.

matter of fact I was out this weekend in Chicago walking around downtown and my homie was like, "Yo that's Nate Burleson!" I was like for real? didn't even notice him

that anonymity makes it easier to get away with thuggery.​

Nah its about popularity also the nfl is just so much bigger

If all it takes is white faces to be popular the nhl would matter

Not sure what you're saying here. The NBA doesn't promote its black players?

The NFL has not shied away from promoting players like RG3, Russ, Kaep, etc as the "future" of the league. Let's also not forget that Ray Lewis damn near became a saint and NFL poster boy after his crime.

The NHL is extremely popular in the place it was invented and cultivated (Canada)...

For all this "its the popularity of the game not race" talk, how many white households are gonna set time out of their schedule to sit around and watch the Bayou Classic?
