I watch WWE b/c I'm obsessed w/ wrestling and if wrestling is easy access....I'm gonna watch it.

Storylines are hardly ever good in the E anymore. Becky-Charlotte has been good. Shield/Braun/Dolph/Drew fukkery took a while to pull me in...but it did.

WWE is the worst org. right now but it's still wrestling and nobody can top their presentation. :yeshrug:

in reality, WWE was full of more fukkery in the Attitude Era. It was fukkery litterally every week. Pi'Raw threads back then would've been :krs:

nowadays, we WAIT for the fukkery but some weeks, it never comes. Just the same repeated matches, Heyman promo, 6 woman tag, etc

At this point, it's like being on a date with a chick you find you're not interested in. I'm on my phone & she's just in the background.

If their parents are wrestling fans or parents still have cable otherwise idk how they'd even find it.
It just makes me wonder coz wrestling seemed huge when we was kids. Or is it just a kids thing... Hmmmm

Wrestling matches just for the sake of wrestling is boring to me, I need a story and a reason why the match is happening. My all time favorite match is still Rock/Austin, WM17. What was the story? Austin was fighting his way back to the top after injury, and had to now defeat his old rival who had surpassed him in every way. Remember, “I need to beat you Rock. I need it more than you can ever imagine”. The story within the match reflected it, they both beat each other nearly to death, but Austin couldn’t put Rock away. He needed Vince McMahon’s, his nemesis, help to finally put Rock down, 1-2-3. Wrestlemania ends in utter shock and confusion as Austin and McMahon shake hands over a beaten Rock while sharing a beer.

Contrast that to 95% of WWE storylines today, which all boil down to you have a belt I want/I wanna be the best wrestler so I need to beat you/you turned on me. There’s no more fukkery, I don’t know what you’re referring to by that. The last real fukkery we had was Braun doing crazy shyt every week and that’s mostly gone away. This shyt they’re putting out is nothing like Jake attacking Savage & Liz at their wedding, Undertaker trying to sacrifice people, Eddy claiming he’s the real father of Rey’s son, etc.
