OP is right. Austin Aries would have NEVER been a big star in WWE. He is what he is, a good worker, he's better on the mic than most of the other cruiserweights, but his absolute ceiling in a best-case scenario in WWE would be occasionally in the IC/US title picture, mainly midcard or below.

Exactly. He was one of thee too guys in TNA but he would not have been that in WWE..

I mean if you look at it, majority of the top guys in TNA history all came from WWE.

But they're at least on the radar before then. Bobby Roode was coming into his own well he finally got to the WWE in 2016. He's basically been this type of Bobby Roode since mid-2011, those years matter.

And Ray/KG/Pierce at that time were an anomaly in 07. My comparison is more of the Nets trading for Paul Pierce/KG 6 years after that, the Sonics getting Patrick Ewing in 2000, or the Texans getting Ahman Green in 2007

I'm talking about them being in an era with Rock, Austin, Taker, Cena, HHH, Edge, Brock, Punk, HBK, .....like are any of the TNA guys flourishing around those WWE legends?

Maybe Bobby Roode. Legends like Rick Flair and Stone Cold have gone out of their way to put him over as a top tier guy. They believe he has the "IT" factor.

Disagree with Joe and Aries. If Joe went to the WWE years ago he would definitely have thrived. WWE champion? Probably not or maybe a transitional champion. Definitely a IC and U.S. champ and upper mid card guy.

Aries is stuck in a silly division and is definitely upper mid card talent.
