Lets keep it all the way 100...

With the exception of Styles, these other TNA guys would have never been anything big in the wrestling world of they spent most of their careers in WWE instead of TNA

Prime example: Austin Aries and Samoa Joe..

Now these guys are considered great for their time and accomplishments in TNA but if they were in WWE for all those years they wouldn't have prospered the same way.

Joe is good in the ring for his size but he is too bland for WWE writers to do anything significant with

AA seems like the type who would have gotten himself buried just for being him...
Although a HHH vs AA fued sounds like it would have been great

Aries is stuck in a dead division with bums and has been typecasted. Joe is a disappointment and has been for years post Angle feud in TNA. He should have went to Japan to reinvent himself like Styles. I still hope they match him with Reigns and have a Samoan jealous blood feud(The angle would be Roman getting everything handed to him by family connections while Joe the outsider Samoan who had to work for everything)

Joe is and has been on the down slope of his career, which is normal for someone his age, and especially his size. AJ delivering at 38 is exemplary, not the norm. Look at how trash Orton is at 37 (and has been for a couple years). Joe is a 38 year old who always relied on his abnormal (for his size) agility and explosiveness. His match layout skills are still sharp, but you can't fool people into buying into someone who is ultimately new as a top guy when he obviously doesn't have the juice anymore.

Part of what op said is true. For all the shyt TNA gets it is a good place for wrestlers to learn their craft. They get to learn all different styles of wrestling as opposed to just the WWE style, but a lot of them would have been just fine only spending time in WWE.

Agree about the people mentioning Joe. He's clearly on the downside of his career, and though he can still go, he's just a handful of years late. Hell, it doesn't help that he was in NXT for what feels like forever. But I just blame the WWE. They turn their noses up at these guys early on, then try to jump on board when it's too late, then have the nerve to try to blame the wrestlers when it doesn't work out, or doesn't work out to their expectations. It's like making a trade for a long-time all-star at 34, thinking he's the same as he was at 27. Man please

I feel what you guys are saying but do you really think AA or Joe or even Roode would have been big in WWE if thats where they spent most of their career?

I'm talking about them being in an era with Rock, Austin, Taker, Cena, HHH, Edge, Brock, Punk, HBK, .....like are any of the TNA guys flourishing around those WWE legends?

They would've signed Joe a long time ago if they could. Aries was passed on for Tough Enough in 2011 then Silent Rage won it.

Yea but at that point Ray was just a shooter

What about KG then? But yet both KG and Pierce said, that when it comes to the final shot of the game they looking for Ray. If you can contribute, there will always be a need for experience.

Generally in wrestling, people don't get the Main Event push till their early 30's.

City of Angels :blessed:
Aries has a cool look , they should give him a gimmick

What is cool about his look? Receding hairline, oddly trimmed beard, short, and wears that dumbass cape thing to the ring. :hhh:

OP is right. Austin Aries would have NEVER been a big star in WWE. He is what he is, a good worker, he's better on the mic than most of the other cruiserweights, but his absolute ceiling in a best-case scenario in WWE would be occasionally in the IC/US title picture, mainly midcard or below.
