Andrew Lincoln built that final line up in his interviews, but it was sort of anti climatic. Don't get it twisted, though; great episode, and I do like the implications the line has for Rick's character. Dude has finally crossed that line and isn't repressing the savagery anymore - he's giving in to it. Rick next season is going to be vicious.
