Bullet Train will probably be number 2 again next week. DBS: Super Hero releases.. and that Broly flick did numbers when it released in theaters...

Good to see Nope hit that 100mil. Think it might have enough steam left to get to 120 at least.

Wonder what Bodies will end up topping out at. :patrice:

August 12-14 Weekend Box Office Results:
"Bullet Train" Still on the Tracks as it Slows to First Place Stop

Aight, y'all, I'm back. My nephew had the unmitigated gall to bring a 504 piece Lego Luigi Mansion set over with the expectation that I would build that shyt for him. I did. :dead: My fingers now look and feel like those of a 90 year old. :flabbynsick:

That's enough of the excuses. Let's get into the movies.

Bullet Train lost a little steam but it still pulled into First Place Station. It's $13.4 million was down 55.4% from last weekend. That may sound grim but the projections put it at $12.8 million for it's second weekend. :manny: That $13.4 million is the lowest gross for a number one movie since Death on the Nile, which is on (soon to be rip'd?) HBO Max, topped the charts with $12.8 million from February 11- 13. Bullet Train has now totaled $54.4 million domestically and $114.4 million at the worldwide box office. I still haven't seen it tho. :hubie:If it's as good as "The Limited" episode from Archer, then I'm in.

Holding down second place for the second weekend in a row was DC League of Super-Pets. It grossed another $7.1 million while it shown in 529 fewer theaters than last week. That's after last week saw an increase of 18 theaters. :ohhh: Still tho, it was right on the money with the projections of $7 million. It's now grossed $58.3 million domestically and $109.7 million worldwide. We can thank Gru and his Minions for eating into the Super-Pets dog treats. :mjlol:

Re-entering the Top 5 and taking 3rd place was Top Gun: Maverick. In it's 12th weekend, the movie grossed another $7.1 million. Those ticket sales were bolstered by the film's re-release in IMAX theaters, no doubt. With $673.8 million at the Domestic Box Office, it's only a matter of days before Top Gun: Maverick leapfrogs Avengers: Infinity War and it's $678.8 million, for 6th place all time. Can Tom Cruise knockoff Black Panther, which sits at $700.4 million, and enter the Top 5?

Let's stick with Archer cuz he also works here:

Holding 4th place down for consecutive weekends was Thor: Love and Thunder. With another $5.3 million in ticket sales, Love and Thunder has now grossed $325.3 million and surpassed Ragnarok's domestic total of $315 million. That $325.3 million is good for 6th place at the Domestic Box Office this year. That's still behind Minions: The Rise of Gru ($343.7 million) and fellow MCU brethren Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and it's $411.3 million, which is good for 2nd place.

I don't care :damn:

wink-wink-thor.gif

Rounding out the Top 5 was Nope, with $5.3 million. That was a 37.6% drop from it's 3rd place finish last weekend. Projections had it doing $6.3 million. It came up a mill short. Jordan Peele might need Tony Montana to go out on the street for him and make some moves. You know, a mill here. Mill there. :lolbron: I'm playing. Nope has grossed $107.5 million domestically. That's a summer blockbuster for the brother. And I contributed to that total. The movie was finally released Internationally, in Australia, France and Germany, where it grossed a total of $6.3 million, bringing it's worldwide gross to $113.8 million.

Is there an Archer gif for this movie?

Oh wait. Here it is:

Notables Outside the Top 5

With another $4.8 million, Minions: The Rise of Gru, has now grossed $343.7 million domestically. It's now moved past Minions, the original, which grossed $336. million.

Bodies Bodies Bodies saw a wide release to 1,290 theaters and grossed $3.2 million. It was only in 6 theaters last week, which is why there's that :lupe:+1334.4% change from last week.

The dinosaurs and Jurassic World Dominion are still putting work in. It's now grossed $974.5 million worldwide. It's $373.1 million is good for 3rd place at the Domestic Box Office this year.
This warrants the return of Bryce Dallassaurass

Also, shout out to Universal for becoming the first Hollywood studio since 2019 to gross $3 billion at the worldwide Box Office.

Aight, I'll see y'all next weekend :salute:

Not surprised at all by that DB flicks numbers. :wow:

If Nope can just stay at 2.5+ mil for the next 3 weeks, it will definitely hit 120. But it's not going too far past that.

Damn thought Bodies would have did better.. probably will show up on streaming in another 2-3wks then.

Top Gun will probably still be in the theater next month. Helluva run

Don't think there's anything major coming out until oct.

Yeah, "Bodies" expanding to 2,541 theaters, which was up by 1,251 from last week, and grossing 23% less is tough :francis:

Tom gotta make sure "Top Gun" stays in theaters till it passes "Black Panther." It's $16.7 mill shy.

Top Gun ain't leaving the theaters until after Labor day, which might give it one more push.

It's gonna end up at 700 mil domestic. Tom has gotta be happy as shyt he waited and kept it in the theaters

Broly had od great promotion and hype. Super Hero didnt have half the promotion so the success is surprising.
