:wtf: picking a fire pokemon (Charmander on the OG Red/Blue) was probably the hardest, you were trash facing Brock and Misty back to back. Once Charmander evolved though :ohlawd:

:wtf:

Leaf was easy mode.

:childplease: Squirtle was easy mode nikka

Water dominates the rock pokemon and goes tit for tat against misty. Squirtle progresses quite easily too. Even in the wild...Squirtle could easily battle the shyt leaf.ground pokemon.

Even if Leaf was Squirtles weakness...leaf pokemon in the wild were generally weak.

Fire was probably the hardest.

it goes Water (Easy), Fire (Medium), Leaf (Hard)

Bulbasaur and his evolved forms are by far the weakest of the three.

:wtf: bulbasaur was so shytty to me I can see how he would be good against the first bosses but later on leaf was just so weak in general. I could deal with the fire and water cuz the damage was good and they looked cool. oh and :pacspit: at yellow making me have to actually go and train a bug pokemon to get passed the first gym

I remember way back when I first got yellow I spent hours training Pikachu in an attempt to beat Brock, got him to like level 20 and still couldn't do it :russ: but yeah, you pretty much had no choice but to train Caterpie to a Butterfree for that Confusion. As soon as I beat Brock, Butterfree's wack ass was thrown in the PC bushes :lolbron:
