This is probably my least favorite of Takashi Miike's recent work. Most of the movie is not-so-interesting build-up and it has quite a pointless conclusion. The actual school killing stuff is pretty damn entertaining, mostly because the movie keeps throwing in the absolutely biggest cliché situations where normally someone would save the day but they completely fail and just get murked in equally brutal fashion as the others. It's not enough to make the movie as a whole a recommendation though.

So the 40 min rampage isn't a recommendation? Miike whole approach was to create a comfortable drama in the first half and then rip that comfortable shyt away and expose all the wrong things for the last half.
