I guess breh. But I'm saying for example, if I am sick, I'm not using a sick day on the days I can wfh. Because unless I can't talk, no reason I can't wfh.

we have unlimited PTO and i realize i'm always just taking a friday here or monday there, i rarely take extended time unless it's an international trip, which have been dead for me the last 3 yrs with the pandemic...i took the entire week after next off for no good reason to fix that

Why not take 5 years off then and get paid amirite

I use all my vacation. I get 30 days. I'm using vacation right now and I mostly work from home.

Same I get 4 weeks, A year.

I bank that shyt.

Instead of using it. I just have less “busy” days.

We have DTO, but I've always made sure I take time off, with the only exception being Covid because things were closed.

I'd rather use my unlimited time off and work on deliverables as I see fit than pretend Taking half days here and there is actually vacation.

Run it up. But that likely won't be the sentiment here since the average age on this site is perfect for working too much.

I’ve got unlimited PTO and I plan on taking 5-6 weeks of vacation at minimum. I’ve seen this data before and wonder what this looks like by age/socioeconomic status. I’ve got a family of 5 so between me, my wife and 3 kids we’ve got spring breaks, fall breaks, summer vacations and family trips planned but if you’re single or just you and your partner I wonder how much time off people are taking

Man every time I come back from PTO its some bullshyt I gotta clean up or wasn't done correctly or not at all from a man with over 20 years of IT...

What's not talked about is that you have to get permission/approval for PTO/vacation to be used

Some of my PTO been denied cause other fella want the same day(s) off... or just plain don't approve in time...

All that said, I use what I can get approved and luckily its most of it

I got 10 or 11 vacation days left for the rest of the year. We aren't allowed to roll ours over to next year. We just get our unused vacation paid out on the 1st check of the new year

I handed the section manager my vacation request for next week off. I'm gonna go the fukk off if it ain't approved because we have "shut down" over Xmas break, but we are forced to come in the 26th through the 28th. Not even allowed to used vacation those 3 days.

Them muthafukkaz got the audacity to be shocked that they have a lot of turnover out here.
