Well since the first movie featured a blind old black woman as his roommate and accomplice, it's not really that unrealistic he'd get another unusual accomplice/roommate. You guys are acting like Deadpool is gorgeous and hangs out with upstanding gorgeous people. Leslie looks like she'd actually fit right into the world they created in the first movie.
she not talking about a supporting character like blind al tho. or bob from hydra. or a random merc cameo in weasel's workshop. she talking sidekick, like we didnt just spend an entire movie meeting deadpool's actual sidekicks. and worse, a sidekick specifically created to indulge her obnoxious comedic style. cause u know, who gives a fukk about the actual source material! leslie jones is nice! someone should let her do a mutant version of her ghostbusters character for deadpool! that's a great idea, right?

he doesn't. but he does kinda. blind al + weasel. siryn. bob from hydra. evan/genesis. they've all kinda filled the unofficial sidekick role for wade at different points. in the books, the role is held by his wife right now.
