Bad idea out the gate. Shoulda made one damn steve movie after Ashton was done with 2 and a Half Men, made him slim down a little and do the fukking script right. No need to rush these movies when Apple is still relevant and will continue to be for a while

LEONARDO DICAPRIO TURNS DOWN STEVE JOBS BIOPIC ROLE

It's not the right job for him.

2 OCT 2014 BY CASSIDEE MOSER

Leonardo DiCaprio has turned down the role of Steve Jobs.

He was offered the role in a biopic centered on the life of the late Apple co-founder based on the book by Walter Isaacson, but turned it down. According to The Hollywood Reporter, DiCaprio plans on taking a "lengthy break from acting" after finishing The Revenant.

In the wake of DiCaprio's announcement, a number of other actors have been considered to play the role, including Christian Bale, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and Bradley Cooper.

Danny Boyle is directing the biopic, which will be adapted by Aaron Sorkin and produced by Scott Rudin, Guymon Casady, and Mark Gordon.

Make sure to check out IGN's review of the film Jobs, another Steve Jobs-centered film starring Ashton Kutcher.

to me this is the real news. I know he's gotten heavy into the producing game, but he's always struck me as the type to really want to direct. I wonder if the break is from the industry at large, or if he's got something else up his sleeve...

Sony Pictures has surprisingly ditched its Steve Jobs project, putting the high-profile feature into turnaround.

The studio had no comment on the story.

An informed source said that Universal was likely to make a deal for the biopic.

In recent weeks, producers had set Michael Fassbender to star as the late Apple mogul after Christian Bale dropped out. Seth Rogen is also in talks to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
