Leonardo DiCaprio has turned down the role of
Steve Jobs.
He was offered the role in a biopic centered on the life of the late Apple co-founder based on the book by Walter Isaacson, but turned it down. According to
The Hollywood Reporter, DiCaprio plans on taking a "lengthy break from acting" after finishing
The Revenant.
In the wake of DiCaprio's announcement, a number of other actors have been considered to play the role, including
Christian Bale,
Matt Damon,
Ben Affleck, and
Bradley Cooper.
Danny Boyle is directing the biopic, which will be adapted by Aaron Sorkin and produced by Scott Rudin, Guymon Casady, and Mark Gordon.
