Nah, I think Feige wanted to do Black Panther a long time ago, but Perlmutter wouldn't allow it. If you look back at phase one Black Panther had more easter eggs throughout films than any other marvel hero.
Stan Lee had been saying for the longest that they had Black Panther in development, but it never got beyond the early talks.
As soon as Feige no longer had to answer to Perlmutter Black Panther got greenlit.

My main point was this lego gimmick is tired. I could have left out the part about ninjago, but I didn't give enough of a shyt about it to look further into it.
