#1 rated mandatory challenger. Once that happened, Williams moved up in order to get better fights. His issue was he was largely avoided in the 3 weight classes he was actively fighting in-147, 154, 160. I believe his height, offensive output, and reach would have been enough to beat Mayweather.
Margarito a B class at best fighter, the fight could have went either way, plus like in real life people only remember the end of a fight, Marg winning 5 of the last 6 rounds was the dominant statement of that fight, and showed that the lowly one dimensional AM had more levels and adjusted and broke his will before time failed him
Lara, the gifts of gifts, nikkas called for Williams retirement after this fight........
Mitchell already shot and completely done by the time Floyd finished with him, it may be argued he was shot before Floyd ko'ed him

Williams is a good little fight just short of elite, his size and length protected him from his amateurish skills, at the bigger weights when he was fighting taller people his sized the problems arose
..it was just as alarming when they showed bowe's after the second golota fight
