same with nas and he don't like 2pac so i take his opinion on pac with a grain of salt.
This has always been Clark's opinion. He loves Jay. lol. He's his first and biggest fan. Always gave him props. Whatever he saw in Jay on day one made him think he was the illest rapper ever.

Word, Clark was there in the beginning when nobody believed in Jay. So I can understand him favoring Jay over everyone else. shyt, I felt Jay was an elite MC when he dropped RD and use to have arguments with my colleagues back then saying he was a better MC then BIG (when BIG was still alive).

its at 1:58:45. Clark was talking about some KRS 5 boroughs record he wanted KRS to put Jay on. Then Just Blaze starts talking about some joint called the greatest Mc by Jay and Clark is basically sounding like
you have that record? where'd you get that record?Man these nikkas unreleased catalogs would go for bread. He was talking about how Jay got records with Jaz and Sauce and he still goes back and uses some of the rhymes on them.
Y'all need to check out this interview. Dis nikka Clark Kent coulda damn near been the greatest A&R ever. Basically found MC Lyte. He could have had both Jay and Nas on the same label (Atlantic). I know Atlantic like

Y'all are sleeping on an amazing interview right here. I have gained an enormouse amount of respect for Clark Kent now. If you dont wanna listen to the entire thing most def check out the 2hr mark when he breaks down the difference between a rapper and a MC. He breaks down why music is in the state it is the reason why Jadakiss isnt to his full potential. The difference between a beatmaker and a producer. How nowadays rappers arent even consulting the "producers" as to how to approach records, which is what makes Jay Z who he is. The reason why Rick Ross makes great music, the reason why Kanye makes great music its because they are making records consulting with the producer they are not just rapping over beats.
