More ignorance by the coli.

17 years and still amazed by this kat. No athlete in basketball outside of Wilt has been expected to do so much in their career.

Kats were actually saying he declined after 1 game....talk about morons.

Lebron out here playing defense at a high level (also thanks to vogals scheme) with all those miles and at basically 35 and years old in his 17th year....truly one of the goats.

Lebron old ass played better defense tonight than Donic and KP combined and them white boys in they 20s...:laff::laff:

Boy, its quiet as hell on here on a night Bron shows you he still got it, ain't it?

Where the Anti-Bron's at, who are the real LeGBT? Bron fans still on here in hoop discussions when he struggles. Where the Anti-Bron's?

Cats better hope he can't be what he was last night in Year 17. If he plays at that level, there isn't a player in the NBA better than that guy...in Year 17. Excluding nobody, and Kawhi is playing terrific right now...

Bron has an amazing bb IQ, takes care of is body, actually got a half a year off from the game to not only rest but also improve aspects of his game. is still strong as hell, and can shoot from all levels. There was never gonna be no huge drop off during this Lakers contract imo. :yeshrug:

One of the constant haters called him a "frontrunner" because he set up AD for dunks twice before he started dominating overtime on his own. :russ:

Laker/Clipper fans will spontaneous combust if either wins this year:blessed:

I can't remember a year when an offseason move contributed THIS heavily to the feelings in a rivalry. From the moment Kawhi made his decision you knew both of these teams had titles on their mind and a laser on each other. It'll be incredible no matter what happens but if they play in the WCF...

Didn’t someone make this thread like 8 years ago?
There were multiple threads in 2014 claiming the LeBron decline had already started. Mostly based on him having his GOAT year in 2013 and not matching it in 2014.

I heard that people were trying to claim he was declining and his athleticism was going in 2010.

That first year back in Cleveland (2014-15) was the first year I remember hearing it. That was the first year he started picking his spots defensively and his shot was off all year, I remember even questioning if he was slipping a little...

Playoffs proved otherwise but remember even after dominating the Warriors that Finals, people were talking about how inefficient he was and how he got tired and was losing a step...

People been on this wave of LeBron decline for years. It's kinda like the Tom Brady thing---->Patriots went on the road to the Chiefs in 2014 and got annihilated, I watched that game and Brady was bad and looked old as dirt. I thought it was near the end of the road for him, too, and it brought out a million articles declaring his demise:

3 things we learned in the Chiefs' 41-14 victory

Embarrassing MNF Blowout Loss to Chiefs Sounds Death Knell for Patriots Dynasty

Check out some of the hot takes in just those two articles, bruh....and since then the Pats have won 3/4 Super Bowls and Brady has looked like The GOAT in all of them except this past one...

His and Bron's career have several parallels like that. Cats been writing Bron off for years now and he's still won a ring and been to four Finals since I first started hearing "it's over" hot takes...

To sustain this level of play in Year 17 would be unprecedented. And you already know cats are rooting against him hard, cause that was Playoff Bron last night. He played at a level last night that he's routinely played at during the playoffs, and nobody would say "damn, that's the best version of LeBron I've ever seen". Not even close...

Everybody eager to crown the next guy, and I think it's possible Kawhi may have a brief run (1-3 years) as the best player, until guys like Luka or Pascal or Giannis or Embiid fully mature their games. Kawhi is playing at the highest level I've ever seen him play and he's yet to hit the level Bron touched last night, which is a routine April/May playoff game...

He sustains this, there ain't a better player in The League, excluding nobody. And the thing is the Lakers aren't even offensively consistent yet, still need constant shooting. Got a long way to go on offense as a team, but the team defense this squad is rolling out looks like its gonna be elite, and so far, Bron is playing the best defense by any way you slice it, I've seen since his last years in Miami...

Best D he's played in a half-decade...

I already think it's a coin flip with him being The GOAT #1 (he ain't no lower than #2 to me), he gets chip #4 and it's a wrap for me...

Hell nah he ain't finished:what:

BUT

this has to be done vs Kawhi and the Clippers.

He will. Health can be an issue for anyone at anytime but if everybody is healthy on both sides (or the right people healthy on both sides), I'm taking Bron and his squad over anybody, and I been consistent on that since the Kawhi trade started this rivalry talk...

Cats really deaded LeBron and the Lakers after one game. One fukking game. nikkas crazy, man lol....Clippers can beat them every time this year (they won't, though), have the better regular season record (probably will), and if these two match up in the playoffs, why would I take the Clippers?

Bron has victimized overrated ass Doc Rivers and Paul George repeatedly for years, nothing to be afraid of there. Kawhi is a better overall player than Bron is right now (I think), but has never done anything versus Bron in a playoff setting where he's the #1, and has the weight and expectations of a #1...

Kawhi has never won a playoff series as a #1 with the opposing star being equally good or better (KD hurt last Finals, Giannis and Embiid clearly not as good as Kawhi, got hurt G1 '17 WCF, role player on his FMVP chip in SA in '14)...not to say he can't do it, because the early evidence is certainly saying he can, but he hasn't done it yet. Dude has had a really fortunate career thus far...

Both guys sustain the level of play they currently have, why wouldn't I take LeBron?

Both rosters aren't whole yet and will continue to get better as the season wears on, but it's starting to look a little suspect on these preseason claims that the Clippers had the "easily" better roster top to bottom, which is what everybody said...

This Lakers team is the deepest in NBA history and it ain't close, there is 3 first ballot hall of farmers, 3 different 3 and D players, 3 rim runners/pick and roll finishers, another hall of fame that has led the league in assists numerous times, Boogie in street clothes (another possible HOFer) a 6th man of the year type in Kuzma, ect.

THIS IS THE DEEPEST BASKETBALL TEAM EVER ASSEMBLED
