This is why I like Ant. He doesnt give a fukk
You believe him?

I think Ant is a frontrunner, he loved the attention when he was up last year and then completely tucked all that shyt in this year when they were bad, he gladly sold wolf tickets any chance he got..... now he doesn't want the attention :aicmon:

he definitely showed weakness in that aspect for me this year, the media barely put him on the fryer and he publicly tapped out

If someone "doesn't care" ONLY when things are down for them they fraudulent as hell imo :hubie: guys like kawhi and Jokic dead ass gave 0 fukks when they won, I believe it from them more than anyone else.

Sas aint got the balls to do it, and aint nobody who ever sold Lebron PED's going to speak on it. They taking that shyt to the grave.

And what would even the response even be for Lebron being on PED's? People being like "i knew it" :pachaha:

I’m not thinking they’ll get him for the PEDs. If they target Bron it will be for allegedly hooking up with a ton of women on the side while trying to project the family man image.

Where is the proof that SAS has financially helped the game?

SAS and his genre of gossipy commentary has definitely helped the game maintain interest in light of the decline in charismatic players and more boring three point shooting playing style.

This is extreme breh :russ: NBA was getting that tv deal regardless of how the NBA is covered becsuse nba is one of the few things on TV that will generate close to a million or more views everytime it’s broadcasted

The way the NBA is covered in the media plays a role in boosting the views, especially among casuals.

The networks such as the one this c00n is employed by PAY to have access to the NBA product not the other way around.… and there's a reason for that.… SAS c00n ass ain't helping shyt.…get off the drugs nikka :mjlol:

Yeah they pay to have access to the games but they also help promote the league by talking about it all day and every day. It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement. If Stephen A announced he’s going to be courtside at the next Lakers game, there would be a massive boost in views. A lot of people (especially casuals) watch the NBA to follow narratives pushed by the media in addition to the game itself.

NBA players financially benefit from people like SAS adding the reality TV dynamic to the league coverage. Especially this generation of players that lack the overall charisma of players 20-30 years ago. SAS and others have helped fill that void. Can't have it both ways.
Disagree 100% and I'd argue the declining ratings at ESPN (in general) and for NBA games across multiple channels prove this hasn't been good for either side. You could say it keeps the lights on for sports media during the NFL offseason. And yet that hasn't stopped pretty regular mass layoffs at ESPN yearly. But when it comes to NBA basketball, the current media environment has actively harmed the game by doing exactly what SAS is doing right now. Denigrating players, disrespecting players, displaying a general disdain for the game, and fostering a mentality that basketball does not matter until the NBA Finals. People can blame racism all they want but you cannot allow a product's OWN MEDIA to say "this product is bad" 24/7 and not expect fans to come to the same conclusion.

You add all this together while having a weak, effete commissioner who does not defend his brand like other commissioners do and you get this situation. ESPN/TNT/etc have been on Bron hatred for a long time and it hasn't generated interest in the game or increased media ratings. People are tired of that shyt and because no players were given space to become must-watch superstars everything is in the tank. Look at what they did to Giannis and Luka, two very likable players. They use the same playbook to denigrate guys and then wonder why nobody cares lol.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. It’s not like SAS or the other talking heads are making it up. The players are going thru the motions and acting like the regular season doesn’t matter and sitting out way more games. Fans would be annoyed with this regardless. At a minimum the media has kept casuals engaged by pushing narratives that casuals watch the games to follow and understand on social media.

SAS and his gossipy commentary has destroyed any semblance of rational sports discussion over the last 20 years.

Not disagreeing but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t boosted engagement.
