Back in the days with baggier wants and big pockets, a lot more things fit. But i guess with the tight jeans not much can fit so functionally I can see why.

A man purse comes in handy when you have a fat wallet. Much better carrying it on your shoulder than on the back of your ass.

I rock one on occasion when im going to be in a city where extensive walking is needed (i.e. New York, Europe, etc)

Its almost essential kit for when im on vacation as well.
