Savannah James opens Miami's first cold pressed juice and wifi bar in downtown Miami. It's a lifestyle that the Miami HEAT already embrace and now Miami can, too. I's here! Savannah James (aka Mrs
LeBron James) opens The Juice Spot, Miami's first organic cold pressed juice and wifi bar, on Monday at 9am. According to The Juice Spot's Instagram page, the first customer will get a Juice Spot t-shirt and have their picture taken with "the owners," thanking them on their Instagram page. So does that mean LeBron will be there? The Miami HEAT are here in Miami until they travel to Chicago on Wednesday, so there is a huge chance that he and other teammates will be there at any time of the day.
Quite a few big names have been by during the planning phase. Gabrielle Union was there on Sunday afternoon following her workout sipping on her favorite smoothie, the Get Zen.
Chris Paul visited last month as did new Miami resident and Kim Kardashian's BFF, Jonathan Cheban, who named the smoothies. Maverick Carter came by to use the wifi and of course, LeBron, LeBron Jr and Bryce have all been in to sample smoothies. The kids like the Peanut Butter Dream Smoothie and LeBron had the Morning Glory.
But The Juice Spot is more than a place to see and be seen. As their slogan states, "It's a lifestyle." For the Miami HEAT, it truly is a lifestyle. It starts with head coach
Erik Spoelstra who is an avid healthy eater and a frequent visitor at The Last Carrot in Coconut Grove. His sister, Monica Spoelstra Metz, is now a Certified Nutrition Counselor and Lifestyle Coach and when Spo relaunched
CoachSpo.com last month, he added a "Health & Fitness" tab where Monica shares tips on healthful eating and juicing. Last year she shared
"Coach Spo's Green Smoothie" on her Grant Us The Luxury blog.
Dwyane Wade's personal chef, Chef Richard Ingram, shared
back in January 2012 that Wade "does a juice now that I make out of beets, chlorophyll, ginger."
Ray Allen has been spotted getting his juice fix from Sun Juice Smoothies in Coral Gables. Juwan Howard's wife, Jenine Howard, created
Juice Foundation to "raise awareness and funds for individuals who seek alternative healing for cancer." Both Jenine Howard and Alonzo Mourning's wife, Tracy Mourning, have been long-time clients of South Florida's Dr Etti's Sexi Juicing program. Tracy told
Essence Magazine back in 2010 that she does an annual cleanse administered by Dr Etti using organic fruits, vegetables and herbs. Adrienne Bosh and Savannah James have both used juices and smoothies for weight loss in recent months.
Now, the HEAT family have a central spot to get their juice. The Juice Spot brings a new level of HEAT culture to the South Florida community via a lifestyle. No longer do busy workers in the downtown area have to settle unhealthy fast food on the go, energy shots and countless cups of coffee. The Acai Bowl, a naturally high source of energy, is already getting rave reviews from taste testers. The Juice Spot will also carry organic baked goods by locally owned, Natural Rawjuvenation. With wifi and iPads that encourage you to make yourself at home, The Juice Spot is sure to meld comfort, conversation and an energy renewal that is unique to cold pressed juice. And for that extra touch, San Francisco muralist Ian Ross painted a glorious mural on the back wall called Reflection Eternal. According to The Juice Spot's Instagram, "We want you to feel inspired when you leave."
The Juice Spot is located in downtown Miami at 1800 SW 1st Avenue, suite 104.
