6 straight ECF appearances for the pistons in the 2000s, but they had a 2-4 win-loss record in those ECFs. The pistons only achieved Only 2 back to back nba final appearances in that era. They won the nba championship in 2004 against the Lakers and they lost in the finals against the Spurs in 2005 .
Except for 2004 and 2005, detroit wasn’t the final boss eliminator but actually the stepping stone for the 2003 nets, 2006 Heat, 2007 cavaliers and 2008 Celtics.

Somehow when the Pistons were in the eastern conference finals for X number of years in a row it's viewed as an accomplish because they were beating up on Austin Croshere Shandon Anderson, but when Lebron was doing it the "conference was weak"

I just saw a mid Heat team led by Jimmy Butler run through the East last year lol. Bron is good out East regardless.
