The three (Curry, Kobe, Dirk) have a combined 12 Finals appearances, Bron has 8. Kobe was the alpha for 12 years. Dirk was the best player on Dallas for what, 16 years? Both of those players are in the 30k club. I think it just puts in context his scoring ability against playoff defenses, not that he was more successful.

The east has been known as the better defensive conference: Boston is #1 this year in the league, Raps were #5. He also has multiple 40 point games against Golden State in the Finals, which has been a perennial top 5 defense.
