Look at all the excuses:mjlol:. Bottom line is Iggy locked up LeBron. That's facts :yeshrug:. And it wasn't like they were doubling Bron like the Cavs were doubling curry
Y'all nikkas watched the same series I watched? On every possession iggy guarded bron either draymond green, bogut, or elizi were shadowing him on the drive. Eerytime he beat iggy, he HAD to take a low % shot or force a pass. Iggy played good 1 on 1 defense but don't act like he can actually check Bron, that's false.

Them refs was shaky too :mjpls:.

Precisely! People just don't understand that Steve Kerr employed that San Antonio(Popvich) defense on Lebron where you guard him with your best perimeter defender making him take long two's and stay home on his shooters. I guarantee you if Golden State played the same way as Chicago and Atlanta against Cleveland, they would have lost the Finals and Cleveland would have won. Chicago and Atlanta threw too much double teams at Lebron, which allowed him to find his shooters for alot of open threes. Golden State stuck Iguodala, Barnes, and Green on Lebron in one on one situations while staying home on the shooters. The key to beating Lebron is taking out his support and forcing him to beat you by himself

:mjlol:

Do you know what JR and Shump shot during the Finals on open shots (closest defender 4-6 feet away)?

Some highlights:
JR Smith shot 17.5% from the field and 6.7% from 3:what:
In the conference Finals against Atlanta he shot 73% from the field and 81% from 3.
This was on roughly the same amount of attempts.
Shump shot 22% from the field when open, 33% from 3.
47% of James Jones threes were open and he shot 22% on those attempts.:dwillhuh:

For comparison, everyone in the Warriors starting lineup with the exception of Barnes shot over 45% on open shots and Steph, Iggy and Dray all shot over 40% from 3.

Mozgov scored over 20 once and thats because hes getting guarded by small forwards /draymond, what happened the other games? he could not finish at the rim anymore and was getting destroyed on defense, the fact that you even mention mozgov as an offensive weapon compared to what golden state had is pathetic.

yep, when Mozgov was on the court they got destroyed by the small ball lineup because he couldn't guard anyone. When Thompson was on the floor the offense went into the tank because they treated him like Tony Allen and Cavs were playing 4 on 5 on offense.

You failed to mention that Golden State defended those guys much better than Chicago or Atlanta did because those two teams decided to double down on Lebron much more and left them open for wide open threes and twos. Golden State closed out on those guys much better resulting in their poor shooting percentages. You wrote all this ish for no reason!

If Lebron drives to the basket at the end of game 1 instead of taking that stupid fade away 3 the Cavs would have been up 3-0 @ home. :mjpls:

He had enough help he just made some bone head plays during times when it really mattered

Apparently you can't read. Shump and Smith got just as many open shots as they did against Atlanta.

It may look like that based off stats and numbers, but you relying on this tells me you did not really watch the series. Those guys saw much more defensive pressure from Golden State then Chicago or Atlanta. Their shots were rushed because Golden State switched much better on d than those teams. Anyway we will see what those dudes are able to do this year. If they don't get it done, then you guys have nothing to defend against these so called Lebron haters.

Prime Kobe and MJ would have feasted on that D Lebron saw from Golden State. I'm not saying those guys would have won, but they would have done alot better against the one in one defense Golden State was employing against Lebron.

These are not complicated stats like per breh, its simply what happened. I watched every minute of the Finals. The Warriors defense was great, the Cavs still got open shots and they missed them at a horrific rate. Those number were what they did in situations in which there was no defender within 4-6 feet. Nobody was closing in out on them in time to affect an NBA player's focus. They just missed, a lot.:yeshrug:

The idea that people need to "defend" a superstar for losing a series against a historically great team after his 2 best teammates go down with injuries is absurd. :lupe:

Eh, we've seen Kobe get shut down in the Finals a few times.:ld: I agree about Jordan though.:mjpls:
