LeBron has a higher 3 point percentage than Kobe, but i dont feel like that makes him a better shoot

You can’t do this tho. You can’t discredit him for those three rings and also say his numbers aren’t as good as Lebron. Playing with Shaq is the reason his early numbers took a hit.

Kobe achieved more individuall success post Shaq along with winning 2 rings.

fax. Kobe would've averaged 30+ppg from his 3rd season on if he was on a shytty team without Shaq. Phil jackson confirmed this as well and noted that Kobe sacrificed stats for rings when running the triangle through Shaq, but you know these unathletic dorks think the opinions of actual professionals don't matter :dead:

Y’all have very short memories

Film Study: Spurs Dare James To Shoot, And He Does It Poorly « NBA.com | Hang Time Blog

Why are y’all acting like we’re making this up? :mindblown:

Lebron has definitely improved as a jump shooter and he was a pure shooter this playoffs, but to act like teams have never dared him to shoot is just a flat out lie

“Still, by daring LeBron to settle for jumpers, San Antonio came as close as possible to neutralizing James and stealing the series. If it wasn’t for Ray Allen’s miracle game-tying three at the end of Game 6—a shot that came off a LeBron miss and Chris Bosh offensive rebound—the title was San Antonio’s. After the series was over, James all but admitted that the Spurs’ strategy was getting to him, and he had to give himself a pep talk to fight through his struggles.”
Who said that teams had "never" dared LeBron to shoot? I think everyone here would agree that LeBron wasn't as good a three-point shooter in 2007 and 2011 as he was later. No one would be calling him an elite outside shooter based on those years alone. We already know that.

In 2013, the Spurs' strategy affected LeBron mentally (as it does many players) but he STILL shot 41% in the regular season that year, 40% in the first three rounds of the playoffs, 35% in the Finals, and 5-10 from three in winning Game 7. Not to mention the three with 20 seconds left that brought the Heat within 2 in Game 6.

LeBron literally won the series by hitting threes. And that's what you're bringing to the table as exhibit A. :mjlol:

Oh, and you know what Kobe has shot from three in the Finals? :francis:

31.9%
36.0% (gentleman's sweep against Magic)
32.0%
17.4%
54.5% (the Kerry Kittles sweep)
33.3%
20.0%

LeBron's 35% from three against the Spurs would look GREAT within Kobe's resume. The only time that Kobe beat that was in his two easy Finals. In the actually competitive Finals (ones that went 6-7 games or resulted in a Lakers loss), he never even broke 32% once and was 20% or below twice. :scust:

:mjlol: @ trying to come up with arguments for Bean over LeBron IN ANYTHING in 2018.

This debate has been over damn near a decade for people who understand the game.

The only argument left is Jordan or LeBron. Everyone else loses.

:laff: actual professionals have said Kobe is better and Phil jackson himself has praised Kobe's shooting ability

these fukking dorks really think their opinions matter more than actual professionals :laff::laff::laff::laff::laff:

Kobestans grade Kobe's outside shooting on a huge curve for no reason other than that it makes them feel better. Its the same reason they pretend every Kobe shot was triple covered while every LeBron shot was with Boris Diaw giving him 12 feet of space.

Whether or not Kobe is marginally better on wide open shots is irrelevant because LeBrons overall game allowed him to be more efficient at scoring from both inside and outside.

Breh this “you nikkas never played the game” act is getting tired

And your “eye test” is subjective anyway. Only universal thing we can actually use is the stats aka evidence of what son really did out there. And turns out Bron did it at more efficient rate.

Ain’t no shame in that:yeshrug:

The words of actual nba players who actually play against these players>>>the opinions of fat nerds who make $8 bucks an hour working as administrative assistants for a random white guy named Brad.

Too many of y’all (not you, in general) lack a basic understanding of the game, you don’t know how to combine stats with context.

If you tell an nba player that Lebron James is a better jump shooter than kobe Bryant they will laugh in your face.

If you don’t believe me just try it

Just curious, what was the highest level you played ball at?

I played a little bit in high school. I’d assume a vast majority of people on here didn’t get much higher than that

I played overseas

And just to clarify, I’m not saying an nba players opinion is law. I’m saying that the fat midgets on the coli ain’t qualified to dismiss and nba players opinion. They can respectfully disagree and that’s where it stops.

Can you though? Can you give me some context to lend credence to why Kobe would be a better shooter? Or is that just your opinion again?

Evidence says that Lebron shoots it better from every single spot on the court but fukk it cause the random Nba players say Kobe.

Kobe had a pretty looking J, Lebron has a sort of stiff mechanical looking one. Kobe also has a biggest catalogue of insane shots made. Which makes people think he was a better shooter then he really was.

Don’t care if he has a more fluid looking J...he didn’t execute it out on the court as well as Lebron did and is therefore not a better shooter.
