You can't bring up scoring average like that has any relevance to who the best scorer is. Kobe got drafted at 17 and at that time in 96, it was rare for high schoolers to be drafted and he had to play behind Eddie Jones. Lebron got drafted to a crappy team. Wade and Kobe have similar career averages in scoring with Kobe beating him by .5, would anyone debate that Wade is just as good of a scorer as Kobe? No. Context.
He's the only player in the league that realistically can get a 50 pt game while also having a triple double.
Just cause he doesn't go for 60 doesn't mean he's not just as dangerous, we're talking about a dude that can drop 40 on you and still rack up 10 asts.

This. I don't think anyone really pays attention to Kobe's averages at this point.
