why do they always make the stats so specific to the current scenario though :heh:

tell me who has the most points in a single game or in the entire series, thats it.

don't keep qualifying it even further with stupid factors like "most points when the opposing team is wearing yellow on a Wednesday."
Michael Jordan still holds the record for the highest average during finals series (41) Elgin Baylor has the record for most points during a single game(61), if Lebron breaks that it'll be impressive but if not then let it go.

No way, that doesn't make sense. How could MJ shoot a better % by missing more shots?

44% was his worse shooting % he only had 2 more attempts than Bron. Math doesn't add up
Lebron scored more points with less shots :manny:

I gotta give bron credit, the nfl nba has never seen a talent like this before who can run over glide past opponents with ease for the easy 2.

because the series isn't over? they are alerting us to the fact that Lebron James, looking at the first three games, has a shot at breaking the all-time finals scoring record. how isn't that newsworthy?

They never said that, I've been watching too.
It's all over ESPN saying he has the record for first three games not potential for an entire series.
Repeat HAS the record, not will probably get it.

I'm impressed with his performance but I don't feel the need the adjust certain standards so that it becomes cemented as some type of particular record that no one recorded until tonight.
Nobody ever said Michael had the record for the 3 games, this was invented for lebron. Let these guys actually earn their stripes, don't help them, it's insulting

I noticed that about bron. He has no real records, which aren't age related. His "records" are always espn, sounding super specific shyt like, "only player to record 31 points, 17 rebounds, 13 assists, 3 steals, 1 block"
:childplease:

its not a traditional record. Is my point. Lebron also holds the record for the most championships by a player named lebron. See how ridiculous that sounds?
Steph curry breaking the record for threes is impressive because I remember that record being set by several people before him, steph curry having the records for "most blocked shots by a player with a hot mom" is not.

Most of the stats ESPN shows are completely arbitrary,
John Stockton having avcareer average of double digit assists is impressive
John wall having a career average of double digit assists ( in games where a teammate scores 30 or more points) is super specific and stupid.

You're being extra hyperbolic with it just because ESPN reported the stat. :beli:

Scoring the most points of anyone ever in the Finals through these first 3 games is impressive, it just seems obscure because it's rarely brought up. Probably because it's rarely ever even close to broken.

nobody said Jordan had the record for most points in 3 games cause he never owned the record just sit back and watch greatness not espn since you don't care about the stats
