V-day isnt really a holiday seeing as people have to work on that day, I consider holidays the days actually recognized by the federal government (ie post office closed, some stores closed, school out)

idk man I live in wisco and it gets really fukking cold starting in november. December is chill because its the holidays and whatnot... January is just as shytty as November, but after that you can look forward to spring

Why?

I see a holiday as a celebration a time to be with people, I feel like commodities make a person sick, there should be a day where you have to buy candy for someone or a new pair of sneakers for a kid, etc?
