Some of them are habitable by weird means. I believe there was a proposal that we could go to mercury and venus and inhabit the atmosphere, and just go down for occasional resource gathering

And yeah some of them have potentially habitable moons

Wouldn’t we literally burn to a crisp even traveling within range of mercury? :mjtf:

so you telling me all these “planets” are literally just poisonous nasty gas and not actually solid surface things we can aspire to travel to one day? The only real options we have are Mars, a couple Moons and thats basically as far as we will ever get to go in space?

space travel in general is disappointing. 60 years after landing on the Moon we still just orbiting earth doing nothing :unimpressed:
They’re only poisonous and pointless to you, the human.

Theres like a grace area above mercury and the proposal is that we float above mercury using its gases like a hot air balloon

Sounds crazy, dont know all the science behind it but theres a lot of youtube videos detailing how it would work

Learning about space is depressing, there is so much out there, and we will never see it

There are over 100 billion stars in our Milky Galaxy alone, but it would take us thousands of years to travel to the nearest one.

Then you see stuff like this.

We are nothing. :mjcry:

Everything has some caveat attached to it as to why it’s impossible for us to see it or do it. It’s forbidden to us, we are too weak, too broke, too unintelligent, etc.

Space travel takes money and our priority is tax cuts for billionaires

Doesn't it take like a few months to fly from Earth to Mars in one direction? I can see why a manned spaceship has yet to make that trip :manny: If the spaceship gets an mechanical problem in the part of space between Earth's moon and Mars you are fukked :damn: It's not like there's a spaceship equivalent of a tow truck that can bring you back to Earth :mjlol:

Astronauts on those Apollo missions had balls of steel :wow: it took a couple of days to reach the moon and once you leave Earth orbit you are on your own :sadcam: I know them Apollo 13 crehs had PTSD after they made it back to Earth.

An estimated 7-8 month journey to get to Mars since you have to line it up right with how the planets will be in the future orbit wise. shyt like that is while we’ll possibly never reach Proxima Centauri B
