You obviously have no understanding of why the jobs are being outsourced in the first place if you believe this.

I actually do have an understanding of this, and I never said the free market is the cause of outsourcing, but simply that a completely free market will lead to more outsourcing.

Minimum wage is never going to go away, sorry to burst your bubble, but the standards set by the government are staying right where they are. In a completely free market economy though, there would be no minimum wage and it doesn't take anyone with a degree to figure out that maybe a free market economy will lead to further exploitation

And you can guess what they think of black folks. Salaries need to be public info. that would all the nonsense that goes on.

this is something that most certainly needs to be passed by congress. it is simple and easily implemented. it would probably also expedite EEOC claims brought forth

Cant sell market competition to minorities, the white man has them trained to reject it.:yeshrug:

:russ: what are you talking about? Non-whites haven't rejected capitalism, they've mostly embraced it full bore with few exceptions. Look at the majority of 3rd world countries and you'll find the exact kind of garbage quality of life caused by things you advocate; no minimum wage, lack of environmental regulations, child labor. On the other hand the whitest countries in the world are the ones adopting socialism and socialist economies.

It's this sort of reality denying, absurdist post that makes people think you're a plant from libertarian thinktanks.

there are always going to be problems. i do agree with you that many blacks in america need to wake up and open their eyes, educate themselves and not rely on handouts that are not truly needed. However, a free market won't solve this problem. To be honest there isn't a perfect market that will solve this problem. The root of the problem are people's viewpoints/misconceptions/prejudice. As long as people are involved, there is going to be some type of corruption/inequality.

sometimes government regulations end up costing the economy more, however, its needed to reduce inequalities that exist (or at least an attempt to)

free market isn't the problem, but knowing how people are it allows for further exploit.

I even disagree with you there. I went to one of your libertarian conferences once (the APEE) and it was replete with south and east asians, south americans...

no black people though :mjpls:

I agree with you 100%, I just think we should err on the side of liberty in these damned if we do, damned if we dont situations. :manny:

The flaws in the free market that are mentioned on this board all pale in comparison to what we are seeing under the regulatory body in place today. I honestly dont understand the opposition. Its like refusing a shot in the leg for a shot in the head.

Even if I concede all arguments mentioned thus far(in opposition) it is still preferable to what we have now.

So because they wont volunteer it, you want to force the information out...:patrice:

:ehh: Sounds about right.
Yes. Public sector employees who make up a large part of the workforce are already subject to this. Publicly traded companies should have to disclose salaries as well. if their practices are fair and nondiscrimminatory they have nothing to hide.
