I’m sure a lot of you have seen those famous clips of LT being mic’d up.
“Let’s go out like a bunch of crazed dogs and have some fun”
After sacking Ken O’ Brien, saying with a mix of slight disgust and disappointment, “son, you gotta to do better than this”.
And my favorite “Hey (Mickey) Shuler, you better hope I don’t get in there, I’mma kick your fukkin ass!!???”
I read that it was actually a preseason game against the Jets.
I thought we were headed for an all-NY Super Bowl during the 86’ season. The Jets were 10-1, and then lost the next 5 games, giving up more than 50 on the season finale. They choked away a 10 point lead in the playoffs with about 3 minutes left, thanks in large part to a cheap shot by Mark Gastineau on Bernie Kosar.
Being a 49er fan, I have bad memories of those Giants teams with the two Bills (I wasn’t old enough to watch those 2 playoff games in the 80s that SF won), but I love watching LT highlights.

No had a excellent defense coordinator in Bill Belichick and he never used to get double and even tripled teamed it was only one player I saw that happen too and that was Bruce Smith.

Oh I agree.
The best NFL player I've seen is either Lawrence Taylor or Reggie White.
Not the best defensive player. The best player. Period.
I don't necessarily believe in rankings or debating who is "the GOAT". I think that tends to take away from enjoyment of sports. It's the worst in basketball. But guys like LT and Reggie were...like a leap in evolution.
