I've noticed a lot of the kids who get high grades go to office hours and have a chummy relationship with the professor.

I'm starting to burn out. This grind is miserable knowing I'm not going to get a high paying 1L summer associate position and don't have shyt to look forward to.

:mjpls:

are you going to office hours and developing a relationship with your profs? most law school professors WANT to give you the answers. they've been what you went through and realize that law school isn't actually the best preparation for practicing.

it's not always :mjpls:

most of these profs are lefty liberals in good standing who subconsciously believe they have some heightened duty to helping their black/brown/female students. use that shyt to your advantage.

good luck.

I got accepted into my first choice school brehs! The money isn't what I was hoping for so I may try to politely negoatiote for more. Do any of you guys have experience with that?

Also I see the TLS forum has had a mass exodus to Law School Life. I always wonder how people even know to move boards when shyt goes down like that.

Congrats!
You can definitely negotiate. It’s good to have other offers and reiterate your interest in their school and the city/region they are in

Also people know to move forums by posts like yours:lolbron:

:ohhh: TLS ain't hitting anymore like that? I used to go there all the time while in law school, and even afterwards for tips while I was studying for the bar. Probably haven't hit that site up in more than a year since I last took the Illinois Bar in 2016.

Thanks breh! Yeah I think I'm gonna negotiate and repeat my interest like you said. I guess they can't take away my acceptance right?

Nah it looks like TLS got sold to another party and the board is filled with nonsense now. People are being censored and banned for little stuff.

I was browsing there for a bit before I realized what happened and I could tell something was off because the topics were :hhh:

Brehs, I’m still torn.

I’m a paralegal at a V100 firm on the west coast. Been working here for 7 years, (since I graduated from undergrad), and I’m still torn on whether I should go to LS or not. I know the legal game like the back of my hand now, even got a paralegal cert from a top school. I just still low key feel lazy, and am weary about the schooling and the debt.

Any advice?

If it's about the money, paralegals at big firms sometimes makes the same amount as associates at small to mid-size firms. Not sure what your salary is in comparison to what average lawyers make, but don't go to law school simply because you think you'll end up at a mega-firm making $200K a year.

I feel you. I'm making ok money. I worked my way up. I may hit 90k this year, and I'm sure my work load is less than associates around here. Sometimes, I just have this desire for the real thing. I know my parents would be proud.

There was a mass migration to another site, I’m trying to figure out what site.
